iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, & iPhone X names confirmed as upcoming Apple devices

A newly leaked iOS 11 firmware has now confirmed the names of the long-awaited iPhone devices set to launch tomorrow on September 12. The three phones to be launched were previously expected to be iPhone 7s, iPhone 7S Plus, and the iPhone X. However, the newly acquired information proves otherwise.
As per the report by 9to5Mac, the devices that will launch tomorrow will be termed as iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPhone X. The information was extracted from the leaked iOS 11 GM firmware, which not only mentioned the three devices but also hinted at other Apple products. Developers dug through the code of the firmware to search for possible mention of details and found a ton of information on the upcoming Apple products.

The fifth-generation Apple TV will push out 2160p UHD content on the screen with the sport of Dolby vision and HDR 10 format, which means that the potential users of this TV will need a stable internet connection with speeds of about 15 Mbps to stream 4K content. The iOS 11 code also hinted at a variant of the Apple Watch with LTE connectivity in addition to new wallpapers and Face ID as a part of the updated BiometricKit. iOS 11 is expected to bring 3D emojis along with native support for 4K content at 60 frames per seconds and 1080p content at 240 frames per second.

As for the iPhone X, the device is expected flagship device with a 5.8-inch OLED display with very minimum bezels on all four sides and a center top notch that includes the front camera, earpiece, and 3D sensors. The device will include Face ID as the new biometric authentication that replaces the Touch ID, which means that OIS will likely be expected on both the wide-angle and telephoto lenses. Wireless charging is also expected to be supported by all the upcoming three smartphones.
